Biography of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

 

BIOGRAPHY OF PROPHET MUHAMMED (A.S)

(Qur’an 58:11 Suratul Mujajalah) Allah will raise those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge by degrees. (Suratul Zumar 39:9)say, are those who know equal to those who do not know? Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) said, “whoever follows a path in the pursuit of knowledge, Allah will make a path to paradise easy for Him.

Some of the most important event in the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) life.

·        Prophet Muhammad’s life passed through three stages

Stage 1: From His birth to the beginning of his mission some of the most important events took place during this stages, the stages are:- Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) was born on Monday 12th of Rabi’Alawwal, in the year of the Elephant (Amul-fil i.e 570-571) in Abi Talib’s house in an area called Shi’b bani Hashim near the city of Makkah. Before his Birth, His mother had a vision in which she saw a light coming out and shinning on the neck of the camels of the Levant and the whole world was delighted by his birth.

·        His father  died when his mother was pregnant with him.

·        Lady Halimah As-Sadiyya breastfed and reared him for five years in the desert of Banisa’d, then he was brought back to his mother in Makkah.

·        His mother died when he was at the age of six and he was passed into the custody of his grandfather Abdul-Muttalib.

·        His grandfather died when he was eight years old, so he came under the care of his uncle Abu-Talib, who looked after him and treated him with utmost affection.

·        At the age of twenty five, Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) married Khadijah.

·        He was one of the members of the Alliance of Al-Fudul, an alliance that was formed for establishing justice in Arabia.

·        He was honoured with prophethood at the age of forty.

·        Indeed Almighty Allah endow upon His prophet (Muhammad S.A.W) ten good miracles.

·        And he who memorize or learn from his teaches have definitely succeeded in life.

·        And surely it happens that flies does not touch His body.

·        And not withstanding His lovely standing covers by shadows all the times.

·        These are grace and great favours of Allah invisibly, the unknown on the earth.

·        And no one reaches Him in level of High perfection.

·        And he is not interlock with any mankind in all things in life but He is special in character to all being.

·        And he does not dream bad but if he dream`s, His dream become excitement (is that of the Qur’an and Hadith).

·        If he is sleeping closing his two eyes I don’t think His heart slept completely.

·        Indeed whoever hide on His back and front will be seen by Him and whosoever follows His way will prosper will life.

·        And His light show up in everywhere or places and so He run not fast but move slow and peacefully.

·        An indeed Aminah born him neatly and His been circumcised with power of mighty Allah (SWT).

·        May the peace and blessing of Allah be upon Him, His companions, his household, Kins and every other persons who follows his footstep (Ameen ya Allah).

Stage 2: From the beginning of His mission to his migration.

·        Divine revelation was sent to Muhammad (SAW) at the cave of Hirah when he was forty years old.

·        This marked the revelation of the first verses of the Qur’an.

·        Khadijah was the first person to embrace Islam.

·        Prophet Muhammad (SAW) preached the religion of Islam secretly for three years during which some noble man and slaves embraced Islam.

·        Following that period, he preached Islam publicly and as a result the polytheists intensified their persecution against him and the believers.

·        Prophet Muhammad (SAW) commands his companions to migrate to Abyssinia to safeguard their faith. This event was known as the Hijrah (Migration).

·        The boycott of prophet Muhammad (SAW) and those who were with him in the Shi’b (or mountain pass) of Abi Talib took place in seventh year of his Mission.

·        Then he commanded his companions to make the second Hijrah to Abyssinia.

·        After three years of blockade and suffering, the boycott of Shi’b Abi-Talib was finally annulled.

·        Following the annulment of the blockade lady Khadijah, the prophet’s wife and dearest companions passed away a few weeks after the death of his uncles Abu-Talib.

·        The suffering of prophet Muhammad (SAW) was aggravated.

·        He travelled to Ta’if to called it’s people to Islam then he returned to Makkah after being exposed to great harm from the people of Ta’if.

·        He intensified his efforts to call people to Islam inside and outside of Makkah.

·        The incident of Al-Isra’wal-miraj (The Night Journey and the Ascension) took place in the tenth or eleventh year of his mission and the five daily prayers were made obligatory upon Muslims during his ascension.

·        The Ansar started to enter Islam in big members and the first and second facts of Al-Aqabah were concluded.

·        Islam spread fast in Madinah. Allah sent him to preach Tawhid and to warn against polytheism, thereby he preached Tawhid for three years im Makkah, and then immigrated to Madinah where he established the new fasting for the month of Ramadan, making pilgrimage to Makkah (Hajj) enjoying what is good and forbidding what is evil. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) has clearly eloquently and perfectly delivered the message conveyed to him from Allah. In Madinah he remained for ten ten years doing all the above mentioned activities until he passed away, may the peace and blessing of Allah be upon Him.
