*MERCY & PUNISHMENT OF ALLAH ﷻ*

*Fear & Hope in Allah ﷻ*

Allah ﷻ says in Surah Hijr
*نَبِّئْ عِبَادِىٓ أَنِّىٓ أَنَا ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُوَأَنَّ عَذَابِى هُوَ الْعَذَابُ الاٌّلِيمُ*
_Declare to My servants, that I am truly the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful. And that My torment is indeed the most painful torment._
[15:49-50]
Meaning, `O Muhammad, tell My servants that I am the source of mercy and I am the source of the punishment.
These verses suggests that we must always be in a state between hope for Allah's mercy and fear of His punishment.
Some scholars said:
_“Whilst the slave is on his path towards Allah, he is like a bird with two wings which it requires to fly properly and maintain its balance with; these 'wings' are *hope and fear.* A shortfall in either of the two makes the bird lose balance, and missing both signifies the death of the bird.”_
_
When we sin and we repent then the first Ayah is for us.
As Allah ﷻ says
_Say (Muhammad): "Oh my slaves who have transgressed against themselves, Do not Despair in the mercy of Allah, Indeed Allah forgives all sins, he is the most forgiving the Beneficient._
[39:53]
_
Because we all sin, nobody apart from the Ambiya عليهم السلام are sinless, with only good 'Amal.
Therefore Repentance becomes necessary to constantly clean and purify ourselves from the dirt which enters us as we live out our days in this Fitna filled Dunya.
_
Today the youth are using Allah's name when committing the sin.
Saying ما شاء الله for a Haraam relationship.
Saying الحمد لله for Haraam.
*Sheer arrogance against Allah ﷻ!*
_
We need to start coming back to the religion.
Start repenting and Allah ﷻ will forgive.
Leave the desires, Leave the Women, the Money, the Cars, the lifestyle.
Allah ﷻ is Ghafoor and Raheem, He will forgive.
But he is also Al Jabbar, and if He wanted, he could deprive you of oxygen and send you back to Him.
_
Ya Ibn Adam! Where are you going?
Come back!
*Return back to Allah ﷻ*
